Alcudia
The Town
Alcudia is one of the places with a history and society more singular of Majorca. History in Alcudia is still present: Roman city of Polllèntia, two enclosures of wall, one medieval and another Renaissance, among other many things, causes that Alcudia is specially attractive. Alcudia was founded like villa by king Jaume II of Majorca in 1325. The emperor Carlos I granted the title to him of Fidelísima City.
Alcudia is located in the northeast of the island forming a peninsula of 60.51 km2 between two bays, with many kilometers of coast formed by sand beaches.
In Alcudia many attractions are offered to visitors: history, culture, beach, mountain, lagoon, and more.
